About Us
WHO WE ARE. WHY IT MATTERS.
Mirador is owned and operated by MRC (Methodist Retirement Communities), which serves about 2,000 residents in Fort Worth, College Station, Bryan, Huntsville, Lufkin, Texarkana, La Porte, and League City, with a central office in The Woodlands. We serve seniors regardless of their nationality, race, gender, disability, or religion – while we are proud of our Methodist heritage, you don’t need to be United Methodist or Christian or religious in any way to stay with us. Applications are considered in the order received.
“NOT-FOR-PROFIT” CAN MEAN A BETTER EXPERIENCE.
Mirador is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with Methodist Retirement Communities as its sole member, so all left over margin is reinvested in improvements, while allowing rate increases to be kept to a minimum. Nonprofit status brings with it a high level of accountability, which translates to a high standard of services, programming, activities, housing and care. In short, as a staff, we’re committed to maintaining Mirador as the best senior living community in Corpus Christi. We offer the full continuum with the added benefit of Life Care.
The Eden Alternative® is an international, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating quality of life for elders and their care partners, wherever they may live.
Mirador is using proud to have officially been certified in the Eden Alternative Registry, which honors those organizations deeply committed to transforming traditional models of care into person-directed approaches that put the individual first.
