No-Cost Energy Upgrades for Qualifying Motels

LED Unlimited helps qualifying motel properties pursue approved energy upgrades at no direct cost, subject to AEP program requirements and approval.
Properties with exterior-entry motel rooms and individual PTAC units may qualify. Available upgrades may include:
- Door weatherization: Frame weatherstripping and bottom door sweeps.
- PTAC foam weatherseals: Foam sealing around the room’s heating and cooling unit.
- Smart thermostats: Programmable room temperature control for eligible, compatible equipment.
How it works:
- Photos and submission: We photograph the rooms and submit documentation to AEP.
- Pre-installation visit: AEP visits the property and authorizes eligible work.
- Approved installation: We install the approved upgrades.
- Final visit: AEP verifies the completed installation.
