Ribbon Cutting-SMG Managed American Bank Center
American Bank Center provides the Coastal Bend and Corpus Christi’s premier event center providing a venue that offers a variety of entertainment and public uses as well as maintaining the economic conditions set forth by the City to SMG, and operating and managing the Center in the most professional manner possible. SMG is the management firm selected by the city of Corpus Christi to operate the facility.

The American Bank Center Selena Auditorium was corner stoned in 1973 and after 43 years, we continue to bring great shows to the venue. Recently the seats, first and second floor dressing rooms, carpet in the auditorium along with the 1s , 2nd and 3rd floor and air handlers were all updated, these were original. In 2012, the original theatrical lighting was updated also. these upgrades to the venue will help us to preserve the rich history and continue to bring great entertainment to Corpus Christi.
