Ellison Helmsman was founded in 2016 by Joshua R Henderson, J.D. Josh was serving as general manager and in-house counsel for an oil and gas service company in Midland, Texas and business owners in the area began to take note of the effectiveness of his management of the company. He was approached by another business owner who requested that Josh start a consulting practice to share his capacity for management and business development.
Since 2016, Ellison Helmsman has relocated headquarters to Corpus Christi where the company has been building a culture of intentional strategic growth since 2019.

We serve individuals, entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses, non-profit organizations, and corporations of all sizes. We explain to prospective clients that we consult on the implementation of a system for strategic growth developed by Ellison Helmsman over the course of 12+ years in business management and development. 


The capstone in the formula is our 3 core capacities: the ability to think about the information, the ability to take action on the information, the ability to communicate about the information. Whenever we exercise these capacities, we have an outcome in mind. To achieve the outcomes we desire, we have to think, act, and communicate in a certain way. The right way to think is rationally. The right way to act is purposefully. The right way to communicate is intentionally. The capacity and its proper use give us TRAPIC.
