Ribbon Cutting for Corpus Christi Renewables
Corpus Christi residents can take a breath of fresh air. The new Corpus Christi Renewables facility located at the Cefe Valenzuela Landfill is improving local air quality and reducing odor that comes from landfill gas (LFG) emissions.
The use of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) from landfills helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provides a sustainable and renewable energy source. Additionally, this RNG facility has created new revenue streams for landfill operators and provides economic benefits for the Corpus Christi community.
Morrow Energy, a leader in renewable energy solutions, is proud to announce the ribbon-cutting of the new Corpus Christi Renewables LFG to RNG plant on April 10th, 2024 at 12:00 Noon. This new RNG facility, located near Corpus Christi, Texas, converts landfill gas into clean renewable natural gas. The plant has already hit an average runtime of 95%.
Morrow Energy's LFG to RNG plants have demonstrated superior runtime and overall performance compared to other similar facilities in the industry. This is due to their innovative engineering and robust design utilizing state-of-the-art control systems and removal of more harmful constituents than other technologies. Overall, Morrow Energy is setting a high standard for the industry and demonstrating how energy can be produced in a sustainable and environmentally conscious manner. The 43 Morrow-built plants generate enough renewable natural gas to heat over 400,000 homes each year. The combined reduction of greenhouse gases from these plants has an environmental impact equivalent to planting over 18.5 million acres of forest each year.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be attended by industry leaders, government officials, and members of the local community. The event will feature speeches by industry experts and civic leaders.
