“Mexican American Lifetime Achievement Award” Fundraising Concert & Dance
The Mexican American Studies Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will sponsor the “Mexican American Lifetime Achievement Award” fundraising concert and dance, honoring Johnny Canales, Tejano Legend, and benefiting the TAMU-CC Mexican American Studies Scholarship program. Entertainment will be provided by Freddie Martinez, Sr. and other artists honoring the legendary Johnny Canales. The event will be taped for use on a subsequent edition of Johnny’s weekly Sunday morning program on KRIS 6. Two cash bars will be set up and complimentary snacks will be served.
