Ground breaking for Behavioral Health Center of Nueces County
BHCNC is excited to expand the Port Avenue location. The 7,300 square feet expansion is the first phase of the centralization of services at multiple locations to better meet the needs of Center consumers. Six existing Center programs will move to the newly expanded unit space. The benefits of the expansion include reducing consumer and staff travel time, reducing consumer’s missed appointments, and the ability to add building space as Nueces County’s population grows.
Established in 1969, the Behavioral Health Center of Nueces County is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each year the center serves over 10,000 people with job searches, psychiatric outpatient services, counseling, training and support.
