Festival de Mariachi en la Isla

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi welcomes you to an unforgettable community musical and cultural experience. Come and celebrate a beautiful musical art form at Corpus Christi’s premier festival del mariachi – Festival de Mariachi en la Isla.

Now in its fourth year, Festival de Mariachi en la Isla will be held on Wednesday, April 3, through Sunday, April 7, at the TAMU-CC Performing Arts Center. The festival will include performances by area and regional high school ensembles as well as the Island University’s Mariachi de la Isla, Corpus Christi Chorale, dance performances, and a mariachi service at Corpus Christi Cathedral.

The headliner act is Mariachi Mariposas. Festivalgoers can also browse items for sale by vendors, enjoy activities like face-painting and arts and crafts, watch or participate in a Grito contest, and purchase food from food trucks.
