Del Mar College History Faculty Member Participates During YWCA Diez y Seis Forum
As part of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, Cecilia Garcia Akers, beloved daughter of Dr. Hector P. Garcia, will provide information about the impact and contributions her father has made on South Texas history. A question and answer session led by Dr. Kimberly Hill, assistant professor of history in Del Mar College’s Social Sciences Department, will follow the lecture. This event is free, but $10 donations will be accepted.
