Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living's Celebration of the ADA's 27th Anniversary
The Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living is celebrating the 27th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on Wednesday, July 26th with an interactive movie party at the Alamo Drafthouse located at 7601 South Staples in Corpus Christi. The event will begin at 6:30 pm and will feature Forrest Gump, a 1994 film about a man with a developmental disability who chose to boldly go...
Special recognition by CBCIL Board of Directors and staff will be given at the event to Nueces County Judge Loyd Neal and the County Commissioners Court for leadership in bringing the county into full compliance with the ADA, an initiative that began in 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2020.
Tickets for the event are available to the public on Eventbrite. Proceeds from donations and sponsor funding will support activities and programs at CBCIL supporting independent living for people with disabilities. See attached flyer for additional event information.
