This exhibition features today’s leading and best graphic artists of the illustration world. Graphic novels have gained immense popularity in recent years to a diverse, expanded audience. According to the American Library Association, they are among the fastest growing categories in publishing and bookselling. The cave paintings of ages past and hieroglyphics of ancient Egypt were the first examples of storytelling through pictures. Over the years, the graphic novel has emerged as a financially successful medium combining storytelling and fine art and evolved into the popular DC Comic heroes we recognize today: Superman, Batman, and Marvel Comic’s Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and X-Men.
