
Humanities Speaker Series featuring Dr. Jack E. Davis
The Humanities Speaker Series presents Dr. Jack E. Davis, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Gulf, on Thursday, April 2 in the University Center, Lonestar Ballroom, on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the lecture begins at 7 p.m. A book signing will follow the lecture, and books will be available for purchase. The event is free, and the public is highly encouraged to attend. Each academic year, the Humanities Speaker Series hosts a prestigious lecturer at the Island University. These speakers highlight humanities’ important role in understanding our place in the world. The event is sponsored by the Division of Research and Innovation, the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, the Department of English, the Department of Humanities, and the College of Liberal Arts.
