DESCRIPTION:The Islander Gallery at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi presents "reCollection\," an exhibition featuring works by the Department of Art and Design faculty. The exhibition is broadly conceived upon the notion of collections and the role they play in the creative process. Faculty members will present\, variably\, collections as aesthetic projects in their own right\, as well as works formed by collection materials\, and recent works inspired by their own collections. The exhibition will offer an impression of the objects and ephemera that inform these interdisciplinary practices. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
