DESCRIPTION:YMCA of the Coastal Bend is a non-profit organization that focuses on youth development\, healthy living and social responsibility.  We offer membership and programs that meets the wellness needs of the Coastal Bend Community.  We bring people together to develop strong positive relationships to restore hope and well-being.\n\n \n\nThe YMCA will do a drawing for a Free 30 Day YMCA Family Membership\n\n \n\nThanks to generous supporters for the possibility to install extra cameras and a front door access mag-lock system\, the YMCA of the Coastal Bend is excited to now offer 24 Hour Access/ 7 Days a week to our 18 and over members. This added benefit should be appealing to shift workers and those individuals that  find it more convenient to fit a workout in on their time. \n\n \n\nYMCA of the Coastal Bend History \n\n  First started in the coastal bend area in 1886 offering programs & services through Bible study for young men and boys.\n\n  Incorporated in 1939\n\n  1940's the YMCA became an inclusive organization concentrating on the needs of the family unit and providing activities for all ages. \n\n  YMCA Building was built in 1942 ($100\,000 campaign)\n\n  1990\, the YMCA began offering outreach services & programs that focus on at-risk youth in under-served neighborhoods.\n\n  2013\, Additional 9\,800 sq. ft. building was added to existing.
