DESCRIPTION:The 2017 Coastal Bend Heart Walk\, benefiting the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association\, will be held Saturday\, October 7\, 2017 at Whataburger Field. Join several thousand individual walkers and local community teams in taking steps to improve your heart health while raising funds and awareness for the American Heart Association in its fight against cardiovascular diseases. Heart Walk includes a family-friendly 3-mile walk\, CPR demonstration\, live entertainment\, and more. Participation is FREE and walkers who raise money are eligible for prizes. Each year\, more than 1 million walkers participate in nearly 350 Heart Walk events in cities across the country. All proceeds from these events go toward the American Heart Association's research\, education\, and outreach programs. Supporters of the 2017 Coastal Bend Heart Walk include Gold Sponsors H-E-B and Physician's PremiER.
