DESCRIPTION:The American Heart Association's "Heart of New Orleans" Heart Ball will be held Saturday\, February 17\, at the Solomon P. Ortiz Center. The black-tie optional event will include an elegant dinner\, silent and live auctions\, and dancing. The Heart Ball is a celebration of the AHA's many successes in fighting heart disease and stroke through research\, education\, and outreach that have led to extraordinary advances in cardiovascular health and a decline in heart-related deaths for the past 50 years. These successes are due to the support and dedication of local volunteers and donors\, who will be honored at the event. The campaign raises over $71 million annually nationwide. Major support of the 2018 Corpus Christi Heart Ball comes 1st Community Bank\, AEP Texas\, Peggy & Avinash Ahuja\, Mary & Charles H. Campbell\, M.D.\, Corpus Christi Rheumatology Clinic\, Tamara & T. Grant Johnson\, Universal Surgical Assistants\, Inc.\, and dozens of corporate and individual supporters throughout the region.
