Agape Ranch is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the foster children and foster families in the Coastal Bend. Agape Ranch is developing a 24-home planned community for foster children, foster families, and aging out foster young adults. The neighborhood is located off CR 33 and FM 43, near the London ISD property.
The groundbreaking for the first home in The Ranch neighborhood is a dream come true. This home will be a place where foster children will come to be known, loved, and shown their true value. We would not be here without fundraising, professionals volunteering their skills and time, and lots of prayer. We are hopeful for more partnerships in the Coastal Bend so we can build every home in The Ranch neighborhood.” – Shannon Murphy
Susan Klaus, Founder and Executive Director of Agape Ranch, has a vision for The Ranch neighborhood as a place where foster children can live in unity and keep sibling groups together. Agape Ranch supports foster families and foster children through many programs and holds two large fundraisers – a 5K in March and a Gala in September. Once completed, The Ranch will be a 24-home neighborhood with foster homes, homes for aging out foster youth, and homes for respite care providers.
The Wilson family will be the first foster parents to live in the home on The Ranch. They have been licensed foster parents since January 2017. They have cared for 16 children that needed a loving, Christian home after being removed from their families due to abuse, abandonment, or neglect.
Chick-Fil-A was the presenting sponsor for the fundraising galas in 2019 and 2020, so Chick-Fil-A operators will be present with shovels. Chick-Fil-A cow may also make an appearance.
