DESCRIPTION:Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host a series of free public science presentations on select Thursdays\, from September 12 through December 12\, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Owen R. Hopkins Library\, 3202 McKinzie Rd.\nThe 8-week series\, titled "Science Thursday: The Diversity of Marine Biology Research at TAMU-CC\," is presented by faculty and students from the TAMU-CC College of Science\, Department of Life Science research labs and is sponsored by TAMU-CC Office of Research Engagement. Topics include:\n\n\n	Sept. 12: "Forever chemicals and the immune system" presented by Elizabeth DiBona of the Seemann Lab\n	Sept. 26: "Tracking technologies reveal the secret lives of marine predators" presented by the Coffey Lab\n	Oct. 17: "Tackling Tarpon: Telling Fish Tales with Fish Scales" presented by the Walther Lab\n	Oct. 24: "Wildlife Conservation: Mics\, cameras\, AI oh my!" presented by the McCracken Lab\n	Nov. 7: "The hidden world: tales from the plant-microbial underground network" presented by the Lumibao Lab\n	Nov. 21: TBD\n	Dec. 5: "Using a marine snail to study the cellular bases of behavior and memory" presented by the Mozzachiodi Lab\n	Dec. 12: TBD\n\n\nThe series is designed for teens and adults.
