DESCRIPTION:Intellectual Property Workshop\n\nThe Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center (CBBIC) a department of the College of Business at Texas A&M University   Corpus Christi\, Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (IP Section)\, TALA (Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts)\, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)\, invite you to this intellectual property (IP) educational event. Over the past four years\, volunteer attorneys from the IP Section\, in collaboration with the USPTO have conducted this IP Pro Bono Tour. The IP Pro Bono Tour is a state-wide program to provide educational workshops on how to protect the intellectual capital of small business owners\, entrepreneurs\, and inventors located in underserved communities throughout Texas. Join us on Wednesday\, October 16\, 2024 from 8:00 am   3:30 pm at the Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center\, 10201 S Padre Island Dr\, Corpus Christi\, TX 78418.\n\nSessions will provide an overview and introduction to intellectual property law including: patents\, trademarks\, copyrights and trade secrets. Additionally\, breakout sessions will include concurrent tracks with subject matter experts for topics such as: software\, mechanical/electrical inventions\, consumer products and art/music.
