DESCRIPTION:The Department of English at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is hosting the 23nd annual University Authors' Day on Thursday\, Feb. 6\, from 6-8 p.m. in Island Hall\, room 160. The event is free and open to the public. Award-winning author Ire'ne Lara Silva is the event's keynote speaker. She is the author of three poetry collections\, including "CUICACALLI/House of Song\," an e-chapbook\, "Enduring Azucares\," as well as a short story collection\, "flesh to bone" which won the Premio Aztl n.
